Questions

The honest answers.

Speechmark is in beta — what happens if I buy now?

You get a license key on purchase. While we're in closed beta, the public app isn't downloadable yet, so we'll email you the build (and your key) within a business day. At GA your license keeps working with no extra payment, and the price you paid stays — even if we raise it later.

Is this a subscription?

No. $49 now (increases to $79 at launch), on this Mac, for the app and at least 12 months of updates. Future cloud features (higher-quality processing, sync) will be a separate optional subscription that you only pay for if you want them.

Does the license cover multiple Macs?

Yes — your license key works on any Mac you own. We don't lock to a specific machine. We do trust you to be honest about what counts as "yours."

What if I don't like it?

30-day money-back, no questions. Reply to your purchase email or write to [email protected].

I bought before — how do I restore on a new Mac?

Open Speechmark → Settings → License → paste the same key you got at purchase. That's it. Lost the email? Write to [email protected] with the address you bought under.

Why one-time pricing? Aren't subscriptions better?

Better for whom? Privacy-conscious buyers want to own software. Speechmark is a tool, not a service — it does its work on your Mac, with no servers in the loop. Charging monthly for that would be dishonest.
